Tesla’s $1,500 Promotional Surfboards Sold Out Immediately
We’ve spoken extensively about Elon Musk and his various promotional products including The Boring Company branded hats, life-sized Lego bricks and flamethrowers. This time, he sold 200 surfboards with the Tesla logo at $1,500 each.
According to a quick Google search, surfboards run between $400 and $600 on average, so this is a significant price increase. But like everything else Musk releases, they sold out almost immediately despite their lack of advertisement.
Surfers on Reddit pointed out the fact that the dimensions of the surfboards are also incorrect, so my guess is the 200 buyers are Tesla fans first and perhaps water athletes second.
