Marijuana Regulations and the Promo Swag Industry

Since 2012, nine states have legalized the recreational use of marijuana: Colorado, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Alaska, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont. Additionally, 29 states have legalized the use of medicinal marijuana.

In 2015, Colorado’s promo sales increased faster than any other state in the country, up 10% from the previous year. Unfortunately for many distributors, dispensaries, and growers, cannabis is still illegal at the federal level, so promoting it can be tricky. This article covers how to navigate the ins and outs of marijuana advertising.

The following topics are covered:

  • The Consumers
  • Promo Biz
  • Advertising Challenges
  • Alternative Advertising
