Hatswork Round-Up: March 19, 2020

In today's Round-Up, we're showing you the newest headwear fashion that started in the sports world. We will also look at one unique Father's Day 12 1 promotion, and how airlines 2 are reacting to customers stealing branded stuff.

On Milwaukee

Could this Horned Headwear be the New Cheesehead? 3

Wisconsinites 4 have done it again! The cheesehead hat has long been a tradition of the Green Bay Packers 5, but now the Milwaukee Bucks 6 have stepped up their headwear game with detachable antlers that attach to any cap with a functioning eyelet 7.

These decorative foam, wearable antlers are also making their way into the hunting 8 and outdoor adventure 9 markets.

Baseball Team Scores Marketing Win with Dad Bod Contest

Dad 14 10 Bod has become all the rage over the past few years, and the Madison Mallards baseball team 11 took it to new heights for their Father's Day 12 1 game. Fans submitted topless photos of themselves showing off their hairy chests and beer 13 bellies. The best Dad 14 10 Bod was selected and sublimated 15 on a t-shirt/jersey crossover that was given out at the game.

The winning dad 16 also got free tickets for his family, and he threw out the first pitch of the game.

Promo Marketing

First-Class Travelers Steal a Ton of Branded Stuff, and Airlines Have Embraced It 17

I am of the opinion that most promotional products should be given for free.

Afterall, they are a part of the marketing mix and advertising budget. Budweiser 18 doesn't expect football fans 19 to pay for its Super Bowl commercials 20.

Thankfully, airlines 21 are getting on board (pun intended) with this idea. They are making small changes that encourage passengers to steal the in-flight products like salt and pepper shakers, earbuds, blankets, and more. Instead of ramping up loss prevention measures, they are empowering their flight crews to simply replace stolen items and write it off as a cost of doing business.

Have you ever taken branded stuff even if you weren't sure if it was free for the taking? Confession time: tell us your story in the comments. You can also follow us on Instagram and Facebook using the hashtag #hatswork.
