Digital Printing Transforms the Wearables Space

Promotional Products are a $21.4 billion business with wearables like hats and shirts making up 32% of the market share.

This article is all about how digital printing and other technology advances and decoration techniques have allowed our industry to grow. In previous years, it wasn’t profitable to take small jobs, so we were limited to only filling orders that reached our specified minimum quantity requirements.

Now, with different printing methods, you can make money on an order of ball caps for a little league team of 25 as well as a corporation of 2,500.

We’ve spent a lot of time talking about how unique and often times difficult headwear can be to decorate. This article is all about updating your embroidery processes with some specific tips on how to get the best results on caps.

  1. Diversify your decoration.
  2. Invest in different styles of cap frames.
  3. Add a clamping system for the sides and backs of headwear.
  4. Consider a digitizing system.
  5. Hire an employee.
