Donald Trump Has Hillary Clinton Beat in Merchandise Searches

Earlier this month, we brought you 3 Things Donald and Hillary Taught Us About Promotional Products. Number 1 on the list was He who lays down the most cash does not necessarily win. This article from Promo Marketing Magazine expands on that idea.

Following the DNC, Clinton received a bump in online searches for her campaign promotional merchandise of over 350%. Trump’s search surge following the RNC was only about 250%. However, he leads her in online promo product searches by a ratio of almost 5:1.

The reasoning behind the gap is unclear, but it leaves much room for speculation. It is also unknown if this means that Donald is actually leading Hillary in the polls. ASI’s poll states otherwise.
