Ford Made a Trucker Hat that Might Save Drivers' Lives 1

Ford 2 developed a trucker hat 3 for long haul truck drivers that may save their lives and the lives of other drivers on the road.

They're calling it SafeCap and it senses head movements associated with sleepiness. When it detects a driver starting to drift off it will wake him with noise, lights, and vibrations.

Ford has not announced if or when it will be mass-produced, but this could be a game changer for both the headwear and the trucking industries 4.

Green Matters

North Face is Making a Hat from Wool that Offsets CO2 Emissions 5

The North Face's Cali Wool Beanie is sourced to not only reduce carbon emissions, but to actually remove more carbon from the environment than is released to create them. The ranch 6 that produces the wool, Bare Ranch, saved 4,000 metric tons of CO2, which is roughly the same as what is emitted from 850 cars.

The North Face and Bare Ranch are looking to expand in 2018 to create more products and scale the ranch 7 to reduce more carbon. Hats work to save the planet.

How to Always Strive for Your Best Promotion 8

Gonzales answered the following questions:

  1. So, have you thought about a promotion that you saw as one of your best?

  2. What gives you the biggest feeling of accomplishment after a promotion you felt was very collaborative?

  3. Are there any common mistakes distributors might make that you've learned to avoid over the years?
