Donald Trump Spent More on Hats than Polling 2


New data from the Federal Election Commission shows that Trump's campaign spent $15.3 million on promotional products from June 2015 – September 2016. $3.2 million alone was spent on the infamous “Make America Great Again” hats. That's nearly double what he spent on polling ($1.8 million).

Regardless of who wins the presidency, we'll count this as a win for headwear.

The Return of the Dad Hat 3


The Dad Hat is an unstructured, 6-panel, pre-curved cap with an adjustable closure. It's typically made of a soft, washed cotton blend and comes in a variety of muted colors and prints.

This style was made popular in the early 1990s 4 when hat aficionados began slicing out the buckram 5 so the crown 6 would lie naturally relaxed against the head. Cap manufacturers took notice; within a few years the unstructured cap was released and became an overnight hit.

And today, it's making a fast comeback.
