2016 Presidential Campaign Creates Major Demand for Promotional Products 9


This article from Hoovers 10, states that candidates have spent over $2 billion more in this election on presidential promotions and advertising than was spent during the 2012 election. The second half of the post discusses the wildest presidential promotions including a “Grillary” Clinton apron and a “Make America Great Again" mini megaphone.

Presidential Candidates Spend Big on Promo 11


This article from ASI 12, which came out in late March, discusses the amount candidates spent in February on their presidential campaigns 13. It then breaks the dollar amounts down into segments. Trump spent over $500 thousand on promotional products and Clinton spent only $38 thousand. However as of January, Clinton raised $188 million and Trump only raised about $27 million, with over $15 million of that coming from his own wealth.

We were excited to see some comparisons between promotional products at the RNC and DNC over the past few weeks.
