On Monday, we posted Performance Hat Trends Autumn/Winter 2017. In keeping with that theme, this Round-Up is all about activewear, workout gear, or as the industry refers to it: athleisure.

Whatever you call it, the trend of wearing performance clothing in one’s day-to-day life is nothing new and it’s here to stay. Athleisure styles have been gaining significant market share for the past few years, and forecasts show no stopping anytime soon.

Good News: Miss Teen USA Swaps Bikinis for Athleisure

Even the Miss Universe Organization is making the switch to athletic apparel. Instead of a swimsuit competition, the Miss Teen USA pageant will incorporate a lifestyle and fitness approach in hopes of promoting health over size. This move only further proves the point that yoga pants and hats are here to stay.

Also keeping up with the fashion trends, SanMar posted this style guide for Fall 2016 which incorporates comfort and performance apparel into the office dress code. Sport-luxe fabrics and backpacks are cited as popular pieces for workdays, and jogger pants and ball caps are common for weekend lounging.
