May 10, 2016 - By Emily Potter

Promotional Products Work! Week is an annual event sponsored by Promotional Products Association International (PPAI). The purpose is to create awareness around the effectiveness of promotional products used as advertising tools.

This year, the theme is Advertising that Lives On with a focus on the buyer; the celebration will take place May 23rd – May 27th.

Headwear is an advertising medium that truly lives on. 41% of consumers in the U.S. own promotional hats and 85% of those people remember who gave it to them. Promotional hats are kept for an average of 7 months, and each time an individual wears one, he lends his endorsement to the company that gave him the hat.

Need some ideas incorporating headwear into your Promotional Products Work! Week celebration?

  • Host a Coffee & Caps breakfast or a Hats & Hotdogs luncheon. Invite your customers and the media to learn all about headwear in the promotional products industry.
  • Crowdsource photos of your customers with their hats, and use them to create a mosaic.
  • Donate your old sample caps to a local charity or homeless shelter.
  • Use our #hatswork video anywhere and everywhere!

How are you recognizing the week? Tell us in the comments or follow us on Instagram using the hashtag #hatswork.
